hi everbody! finished my 95 gal.(12 feet * 1 ft * ft high) wooden aquarium today and i'd like to fill it with some shrimp. i know its a lot for shrimp, but they fascinate me so much! before driving 40 min. to the nearest fish dealer, i'd like some info about breeding them and what to feed them.

dang it. i just read that they are high-maintenence, whihc is not my sort of thing.

what fish would you recommend for this aquarium?

Depends on what you like you like shrimp what else would you be into, obviously you have a lot of room to play with. Also most fish are "high maintenance" and by that I mean making sure water para. are right, ensuring they are fed, water temp is right, PWC, making sure that stocking is appropriate for your tank. ect ect ect. I cant really think about ANY fish who just sits there for you to look at with out your involvement.

JMHO

i do not care for a biotope. its all good.

What fish do not need heated water, and arent expensive.

a wooden aquarium is when the back and/or sides are made of wood and the font is acrylic.

I GOT IT! turtles. they would look so cool in there. but before i go out and buy turtles, i'd extended the tanks width from 1 foot to 1.5.

PS: my main tank is goldfish anyway.
