I'd be scared of putting something in my tank, especially if the manufacturer and the supplier "don't want to say". To me, thats just bad. Good luck to you, but I think you're taking a lot of chances with your tank.
agreed I added my regal after doing hypo. and that d@mn thing got ich again (as tangs ESP the blue hippo are prone to ich) I bought a neon goby and some cleaners and she is spot free and has been that way for about 2 weeks.
Ya im a bit in the middle of thing at the moment, i cant really use another treatment as i dont know the active ingredient in the current one, and i dont really want to put the whitespot cycle at risk of taking over again.( if i ran some carbon and skimmer for a day to rid the existing medicine traces.).
I agree totally with Grins,If there are no fish in the tank the ich will starve out of your main, you want to QT for at least 2 months to make sure you have killed all of the eggs that may be in your tank.I did not see what hyposalinity you are using,It should be .009.
I'm personally shooting for 8 weeks. I had to tell myself only 4. Then when I hit 4 I twisted my arm to shoot for 6 weeks. If I make it to that why not do the 8. Yes, I DO have to trick myself.
