Shy gold nugget. I want to see him more.

Wow, that's amazing. I can't believe he didn't go running to hide when you got up to the tank with the camera. I can't get near my tank before he runs for cover, but I can watch from a distance.

I also like that substrate is it hard to find??

Yeah hes always been pretty active.

The sands not that hard to find but its really messy.

Tahitian Moon by Carib Sea and a reef sand by Estes are both easy to find and both need to be rinsed well before use, even though the Estes reef sand directions say it doesn't. Carib Sea also has a black sand, Eco-Complete Planted Aquarium (or something like that -- not the one for African Cichlids), that doesn't need to be rinsed, but is pretty pricey and has rather sharp edges. It would probably be OK for plecos and other fish that don't actually dig in it and is very attractive. Plus it is great for plants.
