Hi everyone, Im trying to get rid of some really nasty green hair algae and my army of red cherry shrimps seem to be overwhelmd by it. I was about to purchase some siamese algae eaters today and was adviced by someone in my LFS that flying fox would do a better job?
I know they eat prodominantly algae but I am also wondering if they would take interest in gobbling up a few CPD frys that I have in the tank?
Thanks for any advice or comments

IMO, you're better off keeping SAE's. Although both can consume hair algae, they seem to lose taste for those as they mature relishing on foods you provide more than the algae. Both should be fine with shrimps. Flying fox can be territorial to other members of its own species.

I see, I have some really small fry from my celestial danios also.. their not gonna chomp on these guys will they? If not then definetley Ill get some SAEs, thanks lupin
