rainbow sharks and angels dont mix, nor do they do well with rainbowfish, and i would not reccomend putting a fully grown angelfish with ottos. the ottos just stay to small and may be eaten or attempted to be eaten, and this can result in the deaths or one or both fish

I see you're getting a 60gallon for christmas...good news
hold off getting any algae eater since it is only a few weeks away.
when you get the new tank you can consider adding the algae eaters..
you have time to research and make your decisions.
I would recommend you keep the angels and rams together. they have very similar water requirements and do well together.
a pair of angels will work in a 30...but the taller the tank the better.
a pair of rams and a pair of angels in the 30 will be okay but you may not be able to add much more.
the rams don't need a tall tank. how tall is your 30??.
check the species profile for your rainbow shark too..some are not compatible.

btw..in med/sm tanks you can get bristl nose catfish/pleco's they are relatively small..especially the females.

Just a suggestion if you can get the filter now add it to this tank so that you won't have as hard a cycle. You may also wont to get some pantie hose and add some of the gravel you will use in your new tank this will help get some bacteria formed and then you just move it to the new tank and through away the (NEW) pantie hose. If you cant get the filter now at least get the filter media and place it in your tank somewhere this will get some bacteria especialy if you add a airstone next to it.

An angel is not enough well-equipped swimming wise to catch otos.
SAEs do just fine by themselves. And they don't get aggressive 95% of the time.

Im very sad now. Due to "the christmas budget" im going to have to get a smaller tank probably a 50 imperial gallon tank. Also just to let you know i have a 30 imperial gallon tank at the moment incase your thinking of american gallons.

You are probably right, an SAE will do fine by itself. It's just mine are always together like buddies and grazing the tank all day and seem very happy. And I also agree with you, mine have never shown an ounce of aggression.

a 6" angel can down a newly born platy. my angels eat them once a month as a treat beacause i have nowhere to put all of them.
a fully grown otto can be kept with smaller angels until they grow larger. angels can open their mouths very wide, and they will attempt to eat anything that can fit inside.
