I am wanting to purchase a Siamese Fighting Fish, i have already got a couple of swordtails. I have heard that Siamese like to nip fish with long tails...is this true? and would i be ok getting one with my swords?

More likely, the swords will nip at the betta's tail. The betta's vary in temperment, but are primarily aggressive to similar shaped fish, those with long flowing fins, and other anabatoids. I had a betta in with a trio of swords with no problems, either way, but it's worth monitoring to make sure the betta doesn't get beaten up or shredded.
