how long did you treat last time with antibiotics?

I would agree that it seems more a bacterial thing than not. if you started treating with an antibiotic and then after a day or two you stopped the infection can easily return and may become resistant to the antibiotic. Like with people when treating with an antibiotic, it's best to treat for a week at a time and go from there...

He is still floating awkward... And yes the last time I treated with antibiotics it was for about 6days. 1 day past the reccomended dosage on the box, but since it was for fin rot once his fins started to grow back I stopped treatment thinking the infection was gone.

Should I try tetracycline again? Or should I wait a little bit longer. His back end is floating now, but like I said sometimes I see him sitting normally on the bottom, and there are no red streaks of any kind.... I don't know what to do.

But as with the possibility of the bacteria being resistant to tetracyline, what else should I try? maracyn II?

I am more then likely going to treat with maracyn and maracyn II tomorrow, any idea's on dosage? Half dosage of each?

Started treatment with Maracyn II and already see an improvement, lets hope this lasts!
