Sick Bubble Coral

i didn't know that your bubble in such bad state. if the bone has any meat on it, it's possible to save it, but will need time and affort. sorry, can't spell. my bubble coral is just bounsing back too. he hates cyclopes, though. feed it what crown royal recomended. mysis shrimp is probably the cheapest fish food. some stuff u can get at the store where u shop, just cut it up nicely in very tiny pieces. do water changes, make sure all levels are good. i also was adding vitamin C, but gradualy rased it higher than what was recomended. i also read that adding alittle bit of iodine every day would help, but less than recomended. the best time to try to feed your bubble is very late at night or early in the morning. regardless of the respond, just shut off your power heads and put the food on him and give him a chance to eat. often if the coral is very sick, he will need alot more time to take food than normaly. if he woun't take the food at all, then still do all other stuff while trying to feed the bubble every day. i also did iodine deeps in spesial solution for deeping corals. works great. the bubble will need your time a money, so u see what u want to do. i personaly hate loosing anything and love to experiment and see what works and what doesn't in spesific situations.

Bubbles are generally quite tough and can bounce back from a lot.

I feed my LPS (including my octo-bubble) the following way:

1. Mix chopped up thawed seafood and mysis with Selcon vitamin supplement, Cyclopseeze and Reefresh (another similar product).
2. Add a little bit of SW until you get a good slurry. I sometimes add a drop of garlic juice as well.
3. Wait 5 - 10 minutes for things to soak in.
4. Use one of these things:

(or a turkey baster) to squirt the stuff directly onto the coral. You may have to turn off your pumps for a bit and perhaps fend off some marauding shrimp.

4. If the bubble expands that's good news since that means it's taking in the food.

I like the frozen Cyclopseeze becaue the freeze-dried stuff tends to float up to the water's surface no matter what you do.

You can get frozen seafood cheap at any supermarket. Just look for packages of "mixed seafood". Asian seafood places usually sell the stuff in bulk where you can just scoop up however much you want.
