My raphael cat poked half of his body out of his cave today at feeding time and I noticed his belly was disgustingly huge. He rarely comes out so I dont know how long hes been like this. I moved him to the 10 gallon with my ill pleco (who hasnt shown any signs of improvement in about a week).

Is there anything I can do? Or should I put him out of his misery?

If a fish is overfed, it will develop deadly bloat. The stomach will swell as if it were full of eggs. Once this problem is advanced, the fish wil most likely die. Since the fish swells with body liquids, only mild cases can be succsessfully cured. Change half the water daily for a week. Keep tank dark, Do not feed the fish, and keep the water temperature around 79`F.
Dont give up on him every fish that Ive ever "put out of there misery"
ive regretted 110%...
