Sick fish! HELP!

So my guppy died last night. He looks kind of bloated in the belly. Should I treat the entire tank for parasites? I have catfish and amano shrimp in there so I should take precaution, correct?

white feces? ermmmmm my pregnant female swordtail is having white feces, and she don't eat that much at all aswell. is there anything that i can do? anything that i can put in the tank that will cure her, and protect the others?

I am so sorry to hear about your fish. I'm sorry you lost him. Do a water change and wait a while before adding fish again. Are there other fish in the tank? If so they will need to be treated. They could be sick and you just don't know it yet. If not you will want to feed the filter with a little fish food to keep the bacteria alive on the filter.

There are other fish in there AND I have a few more coming. That is kinda scary. Anyways, I am watching the tank for any other signs. So far so good.

Corey,

I had the same exact problem you described about 3 months ago... thin, bloated stomach, darting into the glass, hiding, ect. (Unfortunatly, I lost my fish too)

A few people told me that recently dwarf gouramis have had some sort of parasite going around. Other than that I really have no information besides the fact that you don't have to worry about your other fish if your gourami had the same problem mine did. My problem was specific to that one fish, and didn't affect any of the other fish (besides having to run from him during his "spaz-out" run into glass sessions)

I wouldn't say that he was thin. He probably ate better than the rest of the fish I have. This Gourami that I have rescued is eating like a champ. I am hoping that its color will return.
