All my fish in my 30 gallon planted tank are sick. They all have a white fungus on them. They are white blotches on the Plecos that I have, and I have lost one german blue ram that had the same white spots. Now my male german ram is getting a white film on his fins. I have done a week treatment with Maracyn Plus http://pet.imageg.net/graphics/product_images/pPETS-3758594t400.jpg, and this seems to not have worked. I did a water change last night and I am going to maybe try Maracyn http://pet.imageg.net/graphics/product_images/pPETS-3758583t400.jpg, as I think this might be fin rot. I wish I had a good camera to get a picture of this, but my fish are to small and my camera sucks.
Any other medication I should try?

Those Rams can be on the delicate side.How much water did you change?Something wrong with it.I would change 50% and again 50% 24 hours later to start.Is tha tank cycled?

Agreed, fish just don't get sick like that for no reason. Generally caused by poor water conditions. Please post your water parameters & water change schedule & read my sig.

The tank has been running for 1 year now, and I just re-did my tank with new fish. I just got all of these fish about 3 weeks ago, so the sickness came from the fish store. I know that it came from the Pleco's as they where the fist one's that I seen with this white fuzzy spots.

I do 50% water changes every two weeks.

Ammonia = 0
nitrite = 0
Nitrate = 10

The fish act fine, but I had a female german ram die with no signs of stress. She was eating fine, swiming fine, everything was fine. Except for the white fuzzy spots. I want to catch what this is before I lose any more fish.

Thanks

i hate to tell you this, but more fish will die by the time it's all over, even with meds. you have to step up with your water changes while the fish is sick, possibly 25% every day. if you read a chart for Mardel products, you'll see that there are two similar deseases and neither is recomended to treat with your drug of choice. one is recomended to be treated with MarOxy and another one with Maracyn. one is bacerial infection and one is true fungus. you only use drugs like the one you used for true fungus after treatment with MarOxy to prevent secondery infections. the difference between the two deaseases is that true fungus has "whitish tuffs of cotton like material...", and the body fungus (which is bacterial infection) has "grayish- white stringy material covering most of the body; white or grey patches." it's probably going to be very critical to figure out which one it is with Mardel products. good luck. i hope i was at all helpfull.

I would also boost your meds by adding Melafix & Pimafix along with whatever you use.

I never had luck with Pimafix, but Melafix can be used AFTER your fish appears to be getting better. Usually helps with fin growth after treatment of finrot. I heard Maracyn are only good for mild infections. Your case seems to need stronger medication.

I would suggest Triple Sulfa as medication to treat the fungal infection. It is possible that the fungus is actually a bacteria infection, in that case Kanamycin (antibiotic) treats serious bacterial infections, or even Tetraclycine (antibiotic) that does a similar thing. Combine it with Jungle Fungus Eliminator. And as others suggest, keep up with water parameters.

Please check if these medications are OK with your fish if you want to go with the suggestion. I have no idea about Rams, and have treated my fish with the knowledge from this site:
http://bettatalk.com/betta_diseases.htm

I pray your fishes get well soon! Please keep us posted, if we can be of any help.

I'd also have some Bio-Spira on hand for the end of your treatment, as adding antibacterial meds to your main tank will reak havoc on your biological bacteria too. Keep a close eye on your parameters & do WC accordingly.
