Hello:

Came home today to several sick looking/slow responding fish. Changed the filter media in my 2 Emperor 400s a couple days ago, and remember that I didn't wrinse them in water to make them carbon dust free. This is the only thing I can think of out of the ordinary. I am doing a pretty major water change right now. Can anyone suggest anything else to save these fish?

Thanks!

changing water is the right way to go when fish are not looking there best. that means something like nitrates or nitrites are too high and your fish dont like it. yuo should invest in some test kits. the filter bag is not a problem carbon is fine with fish. all it does is make the water look dusty. (your fish will be ok)

i believe small pieces of the carbon got into the tank...would this hurt them possibly? thanks for your help...
