Hi All!

I'm new to this forum but desperate for help. I have 2 comet goldfish that I've had for about 5 years. They have always been healthy and never had any problems with them. I have a 90 gallon tank with my two goldfish(about 6 inches long), a pleco, and about 12 clams that hide in the gravel. I recently added a young channel catfish, a tiger shovel nose and a bristlenose pleco. Within a week the bristlenose died. My water tests are always good and I even took a sample in to have tested at the pet store and they said everything was good. They said the bristlenose was probably from a bad batch of plecos. Within a few days my goldfish had red, blood like veins running through their fins. I moved them to a hospital tank and have treated them with daily water changes, aquarium salt (1 tablespoon for every gallon) and penicillin every other day. Now one of the goldfish has a few red blister or mole like bumps on the top edge of his tailfin. He then aquired a rip in his back fin. Today I looked and part of his tailfin has come off. I am on day 4 of treatment and have gone to every fish and pet store around. Taken pictures, videos etc. to show them and they tell me it doesnt make sense to spend money on something that only costs a few bucks. Can anyone help? I've gotten different stories on how much of a water change I should do daily and how much salt to put in. My family will be devistated if something happens to these guys. I will add that one of the goldfish also has a black spot on his nose that appeared the same time as the blood like veins. :help2:
