Thanks everyone for your help and insight but unfortunatly my gourami died today. I'm still not sure if it was TB, a protozoan, or something internal or something else entirely but it got the best of him.
Although the pictures look like he wasn't very sick, compared to the deep blue and shape of the other gourami he was definatley ill. Also knowing his usual behavior of waiting for me at the top of the tank to be fed to this extreme of hiding and not coming out of his cave I knew he wasn't well. I guess you learn to know your fish's behavior when they are a stand out from the rest, kind of like any other pet.
