Well the Platy is now having trouble staying afloat and just keeps sinking to the bottom...looks like I'm going to lose him without knowing why.

Sorry to hear about your loss...I wish I could have been a better help with trying to diagnose your problem.
It's alright...I don't think there was much I could do. I believe whatever it was, was internal.
