Ok, so here I am watching my 50g slowly fill while browsing thru the forums only to hear the sound of water flowing over the top. I guess after 4 years I was due for a mishap. Bad part is its kinda hard to soak up water around a 50g aquarium with carpeting below it. Good news is that I caught it quickly, I know my aquarium is level, and no fish were injured. Best news is that my wife isn't home yet.

LOL.. no secrets with kids around..

I have overflowed my 75 g more than once while surfing AC, as well as my 37..matter of fact, I dont think I have a tank that I haven't overflowed while being distracted by AC... I don't have carpet tho, (nor anyone to "explain" things to), really easy to clean up.

i have came close a few times. only spilled two times i can think of off hand.

Oh, I've done it a few times (most recent was gallons and gallons from the br sink where I was soaking filter parts--I was in another room working on the 44g). Sad thing is I live in a mobile home, where plyboard floors are nonexistent. Ever see what water does to particle board?

I soak it up with towels first (got a special dance for that!!) then I put a standing fan on it until it feels dry--1 to 3 days, depending on amount of spillage. Seems to work, but when I get rid of this carpeting I'll find out just how much damage I've done!!!!!:dive:
