Do I have to use silicone that you buy from a pet store to reseal or fix up the seal on an aquarium?

Or can I use the 100% pure silicone that you can buy from Home Depot? It's larger and my dad has a trigger gun (squeeze gun?) that'll make it easier to apply than a small tube that won't fit in the gun.
 
dont get anything with the microban in it. it will destroy your tank. regular grade I silicone should be fine. although, how big a tank are you resealing? the silicone made specifically for aquariums usually states that it shouldnt be used on anything larger than 30 gallons.
 
aquarium silicone is no different than normal clear silicone 1 that you can buy for MUCH cheeper at your local home depot or lowes.
