Silver Dollar

One of my silver dollars has developed a brown spot about the size of the pupil of it's eye on both sides of it's body directly behind the gills. Any idea what this is? Thanks.

when had silver ollars a while back , they all developped a blackish/brownish mark the size of their pupils on each side of their bodies , this is normal and the fish should be fine

Ok, thanks. I'm new at this, so I didn't know that they would change color as they got older.
