That did Help, Niko. Thanks very much. Here's a pic of my finished sump. The levels are all even because I shut the pump to take the picture.
I'll post some updated pics of the whole tank setup soon. My wife says this hobby is consuming me so I have to do it secretly.

Looks spot on mate, as you have also stopped the pump, its a good way of flood testing aswell...Looks really good mate..well done

My next venture will be to flood proof the return pump in case the overflow loses siphon. Maybe a float switch or something.

I would say your pretty much flood tested anyway, if that is a pic with your pump turned off..
There may be some older pics of existing tank up, but i am in the process of doing a new full build up... stand, tank, sump and plumbing..
Its only just started, but have a look
