Hi All,
We have a 3 year old male Green Terror ("Henry") that has started sinking to the bottom of the tank. He looks fine (fins all good, eyes clear, eating well etc), but he can't swim up. He's sitting well (not tipping over or floating upside down or anything) and looks to be breathing ok.

We've tested the water and it's fine, and all the other fish (including another Green Terror) are all ok. They have a diet of pellets and a couple of times a week they have a treat of frozen bloodworm (this diet hasn't changed in over 3 years).

Would really appreciate any thoughts on possible ailments and treatment please?

Thanks heaps!!

My dempsey did that for a day ,the only thing i noticed was that she was picking up gravel and spitting it out but she would have several pieces at a time shes ok now maybe a relation .good luck

He does have a habit of eating rocks and spitting them out. He's been at the bottom for at least two weeks now - we thought maybe he had a blockage, but it doesn't seem to be getting any better. We've had a suggestion of taking him out of the tank and putting in a smaller amount of water for 24hrs - apparently that might "reset" his floatation bladder?? Bit hesitant to do that as we don't want to stress him out.

i was thinking that too but he might swim like hes drunk kinda shoulder blocking the gravel at least thats what mine did
