Siphoning a tank on the floor

Well, you've got the tank and the hose. Give it a shot? If you could run the hose out a window or something to where the outlet was lower than the source I'd imagine that would be a big help.

As long as the water level in the container you're siphoning to is lower than the level in the tank, it'll work. Slowly. I've done it, and it involves pausing regularly to empty out the bucket.
If you get tired of the slow process of syphoning it that way, you could buy a few cement blocks from the hardware store, some type of table cloth or sheet to throw over the blocks, and use that for a cheapo aquarium stand so it's raised off the floor a bit.
get a water bed connection kit. make your own python. the extra suction from the water is really going to help. you could always buy a pump to pump it out.
