Sirens

hello,im kin of sort of new to aquatics,but thats off topic.anyway i was planning on getting a siren(amphibian),but i dont know if i should.does anyone know much about sirens,thanks if you can provide info

I've never head of sirens, but this site is really thorough:

It seems like they;re pretty hard to find. Perhaps a fire-bellied newt would be a better choice, but thats up to you.

Before I knew about the legalities of catching and keeping local fauna, I caught and kept one for a long while. I was also very inexperienced at the time and thought a tiny largemouth bass would be a good addition to my tank.

Needless to say this didn't work out too well. The bass killed it along with several other tank inhabitants.

They are very interesting to keep, and there's quite a lot of info regarding care if you search around. There are also a few different kinds of sirens and amphiumas for sale on various sites.

My advice is to read a lot before getting one and don't add any largemouth bass to their tank.
