Well long story short, Had Cyano treated as the LFS said (red slime off) said to unplug skimmer while treating. plugged it back in today and boy is it nuts!!!

So the question is how do I tame it back down???

air valve is all the way open and it is still puking lots of very wet foam.

LFS said to let it drain back to the sump. Should I do that??

Better to let it keep draining off and just replace the water as needed or drain back to hte sump??

I agree with Archer.. I have used Anti-Red before as well and it made my skimmer go nuts.. I did what he said above and then on the third day I ran my skimmer really wet.. I emptied it several times in a short amount of time, but then I turned it back down to a drier setting and its been fine ever since.

Well cyano usually forms from something the aquarist is doing. . Instead of chemicals, figure out what you are doing that is causing it. It might be lack of flow, overfeeding, performing infrequent water changes and inadequate skimming.
