skimmers and lights?

I am looking for a protein skimmer around the $100 -$120 range for my 29g FOWLR. Any reccomendations?

The hood that came with my set up is the inexpensive Perfecto containing a single fluorescent tube (23"long and 20watts). Is there a bulb that can be replaced to support anenome life? Is there a retrofit kit to upgrade to power compacts? What is involved in going this route?

I have a 29G as well, that came with a 20W single strip. I purchased a 55w power compact kit from AHS the kit is really easy to install and almost tripled the light in the tank.

What does this cost to convert and what will I need?

- glass cover?

CPR bakpak is a good skimmer in that price range,

I have corallife 130watt powercompacts over my 29, no skimmer... I might be starting a new 29gallon to transfer things into, if I were to start over again I'd use a 175watt metal halide, maybe even a 70watt and two VHO or PC attinics. I've heard good things about the backpak skimmers too.
