IF you look at this link you can see just above the pump there is a valve that will allow you to reduce the flow into the skimmer.

Yeah, that red knob is how you dial down flow.
Dial it way down for a week or two, don't try for skim.
And after that, it will still be a little sensitive and may go crazy after WC's or certain oily foods.
It's still a good skimmer for a budget skimmer.
I ran mine to a 1g milk jug, and placed that in a 5g bucket during break in time.
I'm pretty sure the CSS65 does NOT come w/ a drip plug at collection cup, but you can still add one yourself w/ HD parts, I did this for a friend of mine.
