SeaClone

I bought a Aquarium Pharmacuticals SeaClone 100 for my 29 gallon. It works perfect and I got i for 40 bucks (eBay....that's including shipping.) You should check it out.

Seaclone and Prizm skimmers have very poor reputations.

Coralife Superskimmers are a little more, but seem to perform quite a bit better. They can be a bit touchy to "dial in" initially.

CPR Bakpak and AquaC Remora are even a little more expensive but better quality. Still, some people report bad experiences. These two are easier to tweak and upgrade than the Coralife because that skimmer uses a proprietary pump.

On top of the heap are the Deltec HOB skimmers (specifically the MCE 600). Pretty much plug it in and get ready for the "nog". I don't think I've ever seen a negative review of one. Too bad they go for over US$400 a pop.

On my 30 I am running a Coralife SuperSkimmer, and am quite happy with it. Skims well, fairly quiet, easy to set up, and quite cheap. The down side is that the powerhead is big and ugly.

Aqua-medic have a good range of skimmers, i am going for a aqua medic 1000 multi, for a 40 gallon.
