slowing down filter

i was just woundering what would be a good way to slow down my filter because its blowing around my sand and its anoying its an aquatech with no flow valve that i can see

Put some sponge in the intake tube as a prefilter or put a lot of media (sponges or whatever you use) in whatever kind of media slot it has.

What kind of filter... If it is a HOB you can put a prefilter on to slow down the flow, or some people have put a nylon on the output to difuse the water flow. If it is a canister just put a diffuser bar on the output.

ya put a nylon or a sponge on the output, if you cover the whole output part, you will have almost no current tho.

I had the same problem this week so i got some tights and stretched a small piece over the outlet and secured with an elastic band. then i put two small holes in it and now the flow is much better.
