Small Angil Fish

I was visiting a friend a while ago, and the lobby of their apt. building had a small (10-15g) aquarium with a pair of angels and at least half a dozen platys and mollies. That was before I found this site, so I didn't realize how overcrowded it really was.

ya, i kinda need a bigger tank, i have 2 tin foil barbs that are growing i think there almost 3''.... I dont want to give them 2 a pet store because some kid will probly get them and then he will put them in a 5gal or somthing..... now i planted half my tank... not they just youse the other side, the non planted side...

Angelfish can grow pretty fast, I have two that have grown half an inch in the past month or so... maybe month and a half... I also have another angel that was with them that didn't grow but a quarter inch, but he was also harassed by the other angels.

I have 2 angels in a 29 gallon tank with a SMALL pleco and 2 clown loaches just becase i love wathcing them. I do a water change every sunday morning and have had them all living well together for almost 2 years now. The loaches are maybe 4 inches. Angels are about 5 inches pleco is about 10 inches now thats fine im about to move him to my 210 gallon oscar tank so ill just get a new little pleco. Bu my angels are very happy in the 29 gallon tank they have even started there little twitching matting thing they do but wont lay becuase of other fish in tank.

I have natural rock some drift wood and tons of java fern and they love it in the 29 gallon tank. if they get any bigger i will prolly have to break out my 55 gallon tank in storage.

RIP... my little guy died... i think my danios chased em 2 death. i thunk i might flush them down the toylet.... alive

That is a bad joke, which I hope it is. Flushign a living fish down a toilet is quite cruel. If you wish to put them down then do it humanely. Do a search for euthenasia.

sorry to hear your angel died.

angels are beautiful fish and fun to watch..I have some that I am growing in my 55 which will be transferred eventually to a 40.

the big key to raising fish is (as I'm sure you know) water quality.

don't give up on the angels..
