Small Arowana-like fish

I agree, go with an African Butterfly fish. After all, they are the smallest member of the Arowana (Osteglossoidei) family.

You know, I was looking at this thinking "That can't really be true can it?".

Turns out it's not, but they are in the same order - Osteoglossiformes.

I meant to say order, D'oh!

Oh, they're apparently a bit closer than that too, they're in the same suborder - sorta an in-between of order and family. In the same order but different suborder are Elephant noses and Knifefish. It never occurred to me that these were all this closely related.
