--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

i put 2 blue demphsey cichlids in my tank. my lfs said they r not agressive like normal cichlids. they were right!! everyonr gets along fine. they r beatiful fish. i just wanna make sure that they eat regular tropical fish food? i also feed frozen bloodworms once in a while. any suggestions on this?

69 gallon

2 red rainbows
2 cherry barbs
1 silver molly
1 boesmani rainbow
2 red torpedo barbs
2 small clown loaches
2 blue demphsey cichlids

Yes they will be fine with that food. I feed mine a few different kinds of flake, pellets and give him Blood worms and brine shrimp once a week.

Just be aware that they are a little more sensitive than regualr Dempsey's. Make sure you are doing at least a 25% water change every week.

They are grea fish, good luck!

I saw that you posted this in another topic, but once the blue dempsey gets
larger he will eat all your other fish, as soon as they fit in his mouth.

Good advice as well. Some Blue Dempsey's you can get away with keeping with smaller fish. I have my 4" one with Lemon tetras and a few young (1") Thorichthys Maculipinnis. He has never tried to eat anyone of them yet. The Thorichthys are just in there temporarily and I tried getting the Lemons out a while ago but I can't catch them. They will have to wait till I do a major tear down and cleaning.

Having said that, there are some that will gladly take the opportunity to snack on anything that will fit in their mouth. I think mine is particularly laid back.
Your Rainbows and loaches should be fine but keep an eye on your barbs and mollys.
