Small cold water fish

I've found a couple online sellers but by the looks of it both collect. That's likely to be the case on AB too, but I'd still check it out.

edit: If you join NANFA's forum you can check their "trading dock" as well

Did you check NANFA? I'd assume any breeders out there are members.

I understand what you mean.
NAH I just don't think it is right to join a site when you know you are not going to be a contributing member...once again call me weird :) I was looking at flagfish though think they would work in this setup?

I have a few extra Akysis catfish that thrive in cooler temps. They max out a little over 2", too small to eat adult white clouds (or much of anything aside from fry.) They look similar to the ones Rachel has, but I think they're a different species.

Hey, I get what you mean. I'm weird about cut flowers and Christmas trees in the same way. Even though obviously they are farmed for this purpose ;) I just don't want to personally own these things. I would never go all PETA on people who are buying these things for their corresponding holidays...

One thing to consider though, is fish like Ameca splendens that are extinct in the wild but plentiful in captivity because of human efforts. Their native populations are extinct because of human activity (development) in their native habitats, true...but by the same token, aquarists have made sure this fish keeps on existing. Yay for that! By the way, goodeids might work for you...
