Is having small debris over argonite sand whenever africans pick the sand normal?

I always have bigger gravel and never noticed the rise of the debri?

What is the best way to get rid of them?

- net them
- buy an HOT magnum and polish the water
- cover th bottom with minimum 2 inches of reef size arognites?
- Siphone them off
- ? what else

Thanks,

If fish waste, syphon/gravel vac.

I've never kept Africans on sand. If it is not sand that you see, whether it is debri or something else, vac it out of there. Polish will not do it unless you have strong enough suction to get it from where it is over to the filter. Maybe a RUGF would disperse it into the column so it would be filtered out.

Could it be small debri stuck to gas bubbles that form in sand and is the cause for you to stir the sand occassionally as you vac?
