Small tanks

I started with 3 endler's and have well over twenty in 6 weeks. if you happen to be within driving distance of Massachusetts I would be happy to give you some. I don't have the foggiest idea on how to ship them though.

EMG:

Sorry about the bad link, it's plantedtank.net , no "the". when you go to the site it says "the planted tank" and that's what messed me up. It's a great forum, lots of advice and a lot of traffic. I find reading the nano tank section fascinating. Still trying to get pic's of my tanks, we are having major camera issues.

Thanks soo much for the offer :D
The only problem: I live in Toronto :( ... However, if you figure out or want to ship, I'd gladly buy some at a fair price :)

Endlers are a small live bearer that is closely related to the Guppy. They are brightly colored and very active fish. I also raise them myself, very nice fish.
Go ahead and google them, you will see plenty of pictures of the fish.

oh i see, those are the ones that dont lay eggs right? instead the small babies come out, did i get that right?
if it is then its really hard to find them in LFS unless you know a breeder...even in japan.

I actually know people who go to Toronto on a regular basis (driving) and if they go at Easter I will talk to them about possibly carrying some for you. You would have to pick them up from them. Would you like me to ask them for you? I can give you my female, a younger female, a male, and a couple of juveniles--we are moving in June and I can't keep them all anyway so they are yours for the taking. I only ask that you pick them up promptly, that is, if they consent. I think shipping internationally would be next to impossible. Too bad we are not coming--we would love a trip back to the HOF now that Bourque is there!!!

do you know anybody that comes to hawaii on regular basis??? hehe

I wish . . . but if I ever get the chance . . . I'll carry some fish over for you.

Our next big trip wish is Belize, but maybe Hawaii someday.

LOL, here is my standard post for small tanks.

There is only one fish that can fit in a small tank very well, the least killie/dwarf live bearer, Heterandria formosa, aka the least killie or dwarf live bearer. These guys are hard to come by, these are usually a special order from your pet shop but they are great fish.
The males reach about 1/4 of an inch long at full adult hood and the females are larger at an inch. They are very peaceful fish and thrive in tiny tanks. I own a small colony right now in my 5 gallon. I plan on getting more soon for an outdoor container. But they do well having plants like hornwort floating on the top of the tank and they eat crushed fish flakes.

lol, I actually have never been to the Hockey HOF, eventhough I've lived in Toronto for 9 years!! As for the Endlers, I'd have to ask my dad first :D Could I get back to you? If only easter was in May.. Then I would be able to drive there myself :)
Thanks a lot :)
