small, thin, white worm/parasite??

LOL don't worry about it. Once you fix your water conditions, the population of worms will go back to normal, and you'll hardly ever see them unless you're really looking. Don't worry, they will still be there, but in lesser numbers. Can you keep this population after you fix your water conditions? No, not really. But you'll still have some in your tank afterwards, and if you look hard for em, I bet you spot one every now and again, esp around your substrate, or in your filter.

If you like watching little tiny wiggly things, you could always set up a 1 gal tank with triops. They make tasty treats for smaller fish and fish fry too.

Worms

Just wanna add to this...I bought a ghost shrimp from walmart and came back it had some white worms in it and spread to my other ghost shrimps...I researched and found that they are Horse hair worms...disgusting little buggers...do a search online and see....you can also see adult versions(brown) on youtube...but the juvenile worms are white...they eventually came out of the shrimp and the shrimps died...it was around 2inches long...real thin...but thicker than hair....
I was at walmart last week and was upset to see one of those worms just on the bottom of the tank...so better watch if you get any thing from walmart...(if anyone here does anyway)....including plants...

white worms

Funny thing I got these white worms in my 29gal tank now...just noticed them today...I think I am gonna dose some salt tomorrow...not too many but I saw a few floating around and a few on the glass...by the way...does anyone know if these worms are harmful to us humans? Will they get in our skin etc??
