Smallest fish

Don't care about PH: Endlers, Spike-tailed Paradise fish (make sure it's P.dayi, cause the other one under this common name reaches 3 inches), captive bred Microrasboras or Boraras rasboras, bumblebee goby, dwarf puffers, least killies, some pygmy sunfish.
Rhinogobius the smaller one. There might be a couple I missed.

Softer water: Gertrude's Rainbow, Licorice Gourami, Sparkling gourami ( I think as long as you're by neutral you'll be fine) a couple other betta species. Wouldn't risk putting a vallanti in there if something is jumping into the water. Scarlet badis.

I like the idea of the microrasboras or least killi's. Anyone have ideas of where to get either in Aurora, Ontario Canada or near there?
(Aurora is near Toronto)

You can try Menagerie Pet Shop downtown. A couple of months ago I went down because of a plant I was looking for. It's a little shop but had a GREAT variety of plants, much better than most of the usual big box and aquarium stores (including my favourite Big Al's in Newmarket) When I was there they also had Gertrude Rainbows and Micro Rasboras. It's the only place I have ever seen them (was looking for similar small fish for a betta tank). For the record its maybe a 10 min walk max from the Castle Frank subway station.
