Snail Damage?

She has no internet at home at the moment. She'll have to rely on the university cafe which is random. PM her in Applesnail.net.

But pik01 your pictures of the procedure are worth more than just instructions. I hope that it can be a sticky! :)

thanks hollygirl :) I wanted to photograph more of the actual patching but that putty got all over the place and it isn't the easiest stuff to quickly clean off. I also had more pressing matters (the patchee).

And I was worried about using epoxy to glue some java fern plantlets on a cave!
Again - Great job with the patch work and the pics.

I found a helpful thread recently which proved to me that superglue is perfectly fine to use to glue plants to driftwood, rock etc. I then tested it, and I've been perfectly happy with the results.

So one fiiiinal update, I promise :) Brooklyn has been spending less and less time resting on the floor of the breeder box for the last few days. He's been crawling all over the place, looking all restless and ready to play in the rest of the tank.

I was supposed to let him out last night but I kept him for one night longer (my worry got the better of me). Well tonight my little jade has been given a clean bill of health and has been discharged from his little ICU :D

Folks, I'd like you to meet Adams, formerly Brooklyn. A new name for a new snail!

Look at how much his shell has grown, and in cool temps too ^^ You can see on our left (his right) there was a chip in the shell and it was rather ragged. The new leading edge is far smoother (still got the v scar)

Upon closer inspection I saw that the center of his patch might not actually be on his shell. It might be adhered deeper inside, idk, but he seems no worse for it. That's all that matters to me.

13 Days post-patch: yay for Adams!

thanks, he walks with sort of a limp now since the patch weighs down his spire hehe. He para snailed last night and didn't get nearly as far as he thought he would lol. Had a less-then-ideal landing as he plopped onto a patch of moss.

You did a great job piko1. You should be proud! I think this makes you an invert specialist.
