Sorry for my ignorance -- now what happens? Do you take the patch off at some point? Or will it fall off as the shell grows? If you have to take it off, how do you know when? I'm really glad Patch has made it through, but now I'm terrified of the same thing happening to my briggs!

Wow What a great job you did. Its great to see someone take the time to care so great for some thing so small. My little girl Cicatrix has a 1" scar line running down the top of her shell. I worry now that this might happen. I am glad I found this thread.
