snail eating fish

clown loaches do better in groups, you should get a few. they grow pretty slow but once they do outgrow your tank sell them back to the store or someone else they are worth a lot after they hit 6 inches.

i know i already said this, but i strongly recommend yoyos or skunks and not clowns for that tank, as you're clearly looking for a solution to snails, not a fish that will grow very large and is fairly expensive. i just don't think buying clowns for that purpose is a good practice. also, you should keep in mind how sensitive clown loaches tend to be compared to other botia species. you could spend $25 on a trio of clowns and have 1, 2 or all die even if you're careful. they also tend to be super susceptible to ich. it's just not worth that hassle in addition to being a bad idea in general, IMO.

Another point--snails seldom overpopulate tanks that are not overfed. You may want to reduce the amount you are feeding, and increase your cleaning efforts.
