I need help please! I've got some sort of parasite (I think) plaguing several of my snails in my 20g. I have amano shrimp, several small assorted fish (rams, tetras, rainbows), 2 brigs, mts, ramshorns and a mystery snail I've never seen before (which may have brought the parasite in). The "parasites" looks like grains of sand, and are sitting in the creases of the brig snails' whorls and are sitting on the very edge of the mts' shells. My tank has a sand substrate, and when I saw these "parasites" a couple of days ago, I thought they were actual grains of sand from the fish flicking the sand around, but the parasites are still in the same spots they were in, they don't seem to really move. I will try and get a pick of the mystery snails in my tank; they have very thin shells, they look exactly like a flattened version of a ramshorn. I think they may have brought this problem in my tank, I've not yet had this problem with snails before. I think they're also the ones responsible for eating very tiny holes in my plant leaves. The snails that have these parasites are acting VERY snaily and slow, normally they move around faster. The apple snails are also drawing their tentacles in and are barely interested in food; the affected mts have a hard time keeping balance and are falling on the backs of their shells a lot. Not all the snails in my tank seem to have this problem yet. Is there anything I can add to the tank to rid the snails of these parasites??
