Snail Poison - Does it kill Snail eggs?

I once tried "Had-A-Snail" in a planted tank. Some plants survived, but some like Hornwort crumbled and shed all their leaves within hours of the one and only dose I tried. I immediatly tried to water change that mistake away but still lost many plants.

From what I've read, it seems like the only reason snails would begin overpopulating is because of overfeeding. Is this really true?
Another question is, can a snail survive if its shell is crushed? I don't think so, but I wanted to confirm. Thanks

yep, unless the snails are getting an excess of food, they either won't lay many egg clutches or most of the babies won't survive. as for surviving a crushed shell, I highly doubt it. Besides being painful, it probably makes them prone to terrible infections. If I saw a snail with a badly damaged shell, I would just feed it to my fish, put it out of its misery.

snails are really good for an aquarium and I think everynoeo with a planted tank should have them.

yes have said again and again, nerite snails are one of the best livestock you can have in a tank. excellent algae/waste control, wont breed in freshwater much, very hardy and natural looking.

So, Nerites can survive in fresh water?

I love zebra nerite snails, I think they are the ones that eat only algae and only reproduce in brackish water...
