I have the generic filter from Walmart (Tetra Internal Power Filter) for my mystery snail. I was unaware they could get caught in them and I need a way to snail proof it until the better one comes in in a week. Is there a way to do that?
Is your snail getting caught in the slots on the bottom portion of the filter?
You might try using a piece of panty hose rubber banded around the bottom of the filter or some plastic canvas mesh which can be found at most fabric stores.
