I wish I was able to get a picture of this. Twice now I have seen one of my adf's bite the tentacles (the long ones, not the shorter ones) of one of my apple snails. The snail closes up right away and the wrong gets trapped into the shell! There's a struggle and then the frog is freed. I try not to freak out everytime it happens. I love both my apple snails and my adf's and I would be very upset if anything happened to either one. I'm wondering if I should separate them or just let it go. What do you all think?

If you can separate the snails from the frogs, you might want to do it. It's stressful on the snails to be harrassed, and also stressful on the frogs to get trapped in the snails' shells! If you can't move them immediately, just continue to watch their behavior. The frogs may catch on that the antennae aren't worms, and that they don't like being squished. If the problem does continue, or there are injuries caused by the situation, then you will need to move the snails or frogs to a different tank.

I will move the snails as soon as my 3 gallons are done cycling. :) I wouldn't want either of them to get hurt. Thanks!
