snails during a cycle?

I mean, they're small enough where you can't even see them without being right up to the glass while squinting your eyes with a magnifying glass....

how the crap did you see them in the first place?!?

hehehe, I guess I get close enough to inspect how things are, and this being my first sand bottom tank, I love the look, I'm very eager to stock it.... but I wait..... man, it feels like this cycle is gonna take forever!

this is just my imput, but...
if your looking at your tank with a magnifying glass, id say snails are the last of your problems ;)

I also have snails in all planted tank except the puffer tanks. Where else would I get puffer food? Some of the tanks are not very productive though - I may have finally learned how to feed... :o

BTW, I have known folks to cycle with snails as the bioload - no problems, but you do need a bunch of snails.
