Just curious as to whether or not I need to clean the snails out of my pleco caves ? Some caves have occupants(plecos), some do not, so I'm curious as to whether they should be cleaned out ? Any experiences with this ? Thanx.

i imagine the plecos will knock the snails around if they start to get annoyed. i wouldn't worry about it unless you are actively trying to breed the plecos. it's possible the snails may try to eat the eggs.

I agree with Wata. Most plecos tend to be territorial so if they see any intruder, they may attempt to knock them off just to drive them away from their territories.

The snails vacated my pleco cave once the male was in there with eggs. You shouldn't have to do anything. He'll take care of it.
