snails............?

Thanks everyone. Im glad to know that the snails are harmless and that they are good for my tank. I had bought some live plants a couple months ago so i must have gotten them from that.
Yup, my big tank has a lot of food for em, and a LOT of snails, and I think I accidently put some plant "clippings" (leaves that fell off) into the shrimp bowl that were occupied.
I've taken well over 2 dozen snails out of the bowl, but I got them all (theyre fast! While im putting 1 in the tank, 3 more pop up!), seeing as I havent seen any since, and now I've noticed 4 clumps of eggs, though I scraped off a couple of them that were blocking the main view of my tank (though I think they still may have hatched).
I like them, and I watched them on the glass, only way I'd kill snails is if they ate my plants or killed my fish.
