My ponds water is very clear and looks good except for the walls. Full of alge. Would snails take care of that? I'm ready to take a shop vac to the sides to clean it up.
If your pond is clear except for the wall, I would leave it as is. If you really want it gone, you may have a problem with snails eventually. Explain your goal here, removing the algae can be done in a variety of ways, snails probably the least preferable unless you really like them. They will clog up filter, pumps, etc. Unless it really bothers you, I would add a uv or leave it as is.
