I was just wondering if anyone had any ideas as to why my turbo are being very unactive. About a week ago I bought 3 turbo snails ,they were very active for the first day . They were all eating but the next day they fell off the glass and never realy moved after that. They are all still alive and it doesn't seem like anyone is bothering them. Any ideas

It would just be a wild guess without more info. What size tank? How old is the setup? Water parameters? When did you add the snails? How long did you acclimate them? What other livestock in the tank? Is anything else affected? Have you used any medications/additives? Is there algae for them to eat? What is the air velocity of an unlaiden swallow?

Okay lets be serious .It's 150 gal with great water quality running 3 years with plenty of algae growth . Added snails 1 week ago, acclimated for 20 min. No medication ,nothing else effected All other fish pay them no mind . Tangs and Clowns . The snails are deffinately alive partially out of shell.

Just FYI, the next time you acclimate inverts, you may want to acclimate them for longer than 20 mins. When I acclimated my snails and crabs I used a drip for about 2 hours.

I concur, invert acclimation should be painfully slow, for you at least =) Minor pH and SG changes can wipe em out... I'd say if they come partly out and sort hang there, you've got a dead snail... Pick it up, sniff it... If you almost vomit from the smell, its a dead snail, if not then I dunno...
