I've always wondered how you should trim your tank when things start reaching the top. I've always just cut the tops of the plants down, but that tends to leave a mowed look.

What methods do you all use?

For stem plants, I cut them and then replant the tops. It prevents the mowed look and you keep the healthiest part of the plant.

So ypu dig up the roots every time? Or do let the new sprouts continue to grow?
