So I have a ordering question now.

In my opinion you go back and forth with the purchases. You start with some clean up crew, add a fish or two, add more clean crew that may now be needed and when they have things balanced again you get another fish and start again.



You have a 55g right? In mine, I have 2 scarlet skunks that stay practically glued to one another. I have 8 peppermints. I started with two but rarely saw them so added 6 more. 2 have taken a ride down the overflow and are living in the sump however. I think sexy shrimp are cute but they are so tiny I opted not to get them for fear I'd never see them.



Porcelain crab all the way, you can get more than one by the way. They are reef safe (filter feeders that do not hunt with their claws). Keep in mind that Anemone crabs are sometimes mistakingly labeled as porcelain crabs but they are also reef safe. On the emeralds, the troubles with them tend to occur when they get larger and I've seen video of one even attacking a yellow tank by dropping on it while sleeping much the same way a green brittlestar will.

He doesn't have the porcelain listed so I'll have to ask about that.

5 Turbos. wow.. that is a lot of turbos. Personally, I hate turbo snails. I had 2 in my tank since the day I started stocking it and one just died last month.. but now I have about 10 baby turbos living in my Fuge because of them and still have the 1 turbo still kicking (and kicking corals over daily) in the main tank. Bulldozer is the perfect description for those snails.

Don't get me wrong, turbos are fantastic cleaners.. but just get to be too big and troublesome. They also fall over and if upside down you have to flip them back over or other things in the tank will start picking/eating them.

For snails, a little goes a long way. I personally like nassarius snails.. but just a few, and some cerith snails. Beyond those, I don't see many reasons for any more. Crabs and shrimp will pick up the slack just fine. You could get 1 turbo and see how it does. If you end up liking it, you can get more.. they are always at every LFS. They are just one of those snails that once you put in the tank, they are pretty hard to get back out because they like to stick very well to whatever they are on.

Ok, it is done I ordered 5 red leggs, 2 peppermint, 1 sexy and 10 cerith for now...I figure I can order the others next order, after I decide what and how many...LOL!
