So I'm getting bored with one ciclid and a pleco in a tank. That just isn't that interesting. I am getting two 20 gallon and one 30 gallon tank. And want to do something freshwater (already have my huge saltwater) But I'm looking for good Ideas. I already know one of those tanks is going to have a figure 8. I really like natural looking tanks. Lots of plants and stuff. Any good Ideas?

which one are you going to do first?

I've got wild peruvian angels in a 40..they are anything but boring. I think they need a much bigger tank.

if you haven't seen wild angels ..you are missing something. the peruvians are aggressive and fast..they can swim the distance across the 40 in a blink and fight at feeding time.

the markings are very different..nice blue green hue on the crest, nice veritical barring. and mood spots.

You might try a brackish setup for some variety in one of the 20 gallons, with some bumblebee gobies and a pair dwarf puffers. That would be a very interesting tank!

DPs are fresh water, but you could do 5-6 BB gobies or 2 knight gobies with 2 figure 8 puffers or one GSP.

the fish I really want

At the lsf well not so local they are 40 miles away still the closes one has an MBU puffers those are spectacular. But that wont fit in a 30 gallon. Angels are pretty mean right?
I am getting two at once, then the 30 gallon later. What about freshwater eels?
I want a texas tank, so one is going to have some perch in it. A couple. I also want some inverts, fresh water crabs, crayfish, but I've put local ones in my tank when I was little and they would ride around clamped onto my goldfishes tail. Don't want to do that anymore.
I am going to do one brackish one with a figure 8, and a shark catfish thing that my girlfriend has. They are getting a bit big for that 10 gallon.

set up a

Breeding tank, and give that a try. you'll be hooked if you ever raise any of the fry.

Oops, sorry! Meant Figure 8's.
